supercharger ?

will i finally rounded up the money for a supercharger. I just had a few questions befor i buy one. i got a quote from mopac for $3800 for a vortec non inter cooled kit, think this is a good deal? I have one more concern, i drive my car all year so it has to go +30 to -40, will supercharging cause any issues in drivabilty in the winter except the ovious traction issue. thanks in advance

Re: supercharger ?

You can buy them from the usa for cheaper but that price is pretty good you might save 100-200

Re: supercharger ?

the price is ok for a non-inter cooled kit. You cant get a used inter cooled kit for like 3000 grand shipped prolly .. just have to find the right deal. Go on SVTperfromance and looking the market under GT's there is a ton of stuff for sale.

As for the winter conditions. I knwo guys that have run them in the winter and you should have 2 tunes made for the car .. and take the belt off the system . Most Centry blower are not good past -25/-30.

Re: supercharger ?

if you need a hand on the install i can help. Its a pretty simple task, i did my procharger twice. First time i ttook it off since i was tired of running back and forth to the parts store but i went back at it a week later with some extra hands and got it finished in a weekend.

Re: supercharger ?

I would remove the head unit for the winter personally. Not a big deal to put it back on in the spring.

Re: supercharger ?

you should be able to do a intercooled procharger for the same money. I would look at the d1sc kit.
