SPINNIN' WHEELS

After running strong since the rebuild, a date between Thomas' car and the dyno was scheduled on Wednesday, July 8 - time generously donated by the guys over at Horsepower Solutions.

For those who didn't see the car before the show, when we got out hands on it late last fall, the engine was on a stand and half disassembled, transmission was sitting on a tire in their garage, hood was removed, and much more. Thankfully a number of our guys were willing to put a lot of their own time and effort into getting it back in action in time for the show, even putting aside their own projects to make it happen.

Some picture of the rebuild can be found in the Picture Gallery

COME OUT TO CASTROL RACEWAY ON FRIDAY, JULY 17 TO SEE THE CAR TAKE A FINAL PASS DOWN THE TRACK

Thanks again to Neil and Horsepower Solutions for donating the dyno and their time.

Thanks to the following people who helped with the car:
Matt Semeniuk, Scott Semeniuk, Chris Parslow, Kent Seymour, Steve Murphy, Chris White, Adam Kraft and Paul Macedo

Final results:
342 rwhp @ 6500 rpm
316 ft-lbs @ 5000 rpm

Re: SPINNIN' WHEELS

Nice!

I'm sure the shiny paint was good for at least 10 more HP!

Re: SPINNIN' WHEELS

I agree with all the above comments. A high-priced shop could not have done better. Some really skilled, unselfish guys in this club went way above and beyond on this one. I was at the dyno session. That car is a beast. Good luck on Friday at Castrol, boys. A lot of people will be there pulling for you.

There is a few things on the car that could definitely be better, but a lack of time and parts on install weekend became an issue and we made due with what we had.
